Time has flown by so quickly!

Two Fridays ago, we had their 2 month checkup. Dr. Davis, our pediatrician, said the girls are doing great! He was very surprised and impressed that our girls were already rolling over, and how good they ere doing with everything else. Grammy and Papaw were visiting at the time, which was extra good for the girls because they had to get 4 shots each! YIKES! (Although we wonder if the experience was more traumatic for Papaw or the girls...)

We did end up having to get Emerae's head LASER scanned at this special facility because she has developed a flat spot on the back right of her head. That was a pretty cool 3D LASER mapping thing, but they said we didn't really have to worry about it for two more months. At that point, we'll get another scan and see if she is growing out of it with our help of keeping her head on the other side more when she is laying down.

Our girls both are clearly developing even more of their own personalities and showing us more outwardly what that is through noises and actions. Now they not only follow us around the room with their gazes, and do lots of fun smile times with us, but we've accidentally gotten them to make giggly noises and practice walking with our help! Here is a link to a short video of them "walking" with mommy:
Walking!!

Also, we got pictures of the girls taken last Friday, here's a link for you all to see the pics that were taken!!

We had a great time at Pagi and Gigi's house. Emerae and Emmaline got spoiled like crazy being held ALOT of the day lol. and since other people were loving on our girls, i had fun coloring with Ellie boo :) were we ended up coloring the disney princess pictures for when she has babies.

As of May 11, 2011, at 7:38pm & 7:39pm Emerae Lane, and Emmaline Rose were birthed, not through the regular birth canal as we had hoped....but through what they call the C-section of my belly. Anyways, so we had them at 34 weeks and 5 days, and even though they were so early, everything in them was working splendidly. They were breathing on their own, and the only problem they had was regulating their body temps because of how small they were, which is a miracle! Emerae was the peanut of the two, and the reason they came so early.

In the left womb corner, weighing in at 3lbs 11.8oz.....EMERAE LAAAAAANE!!! In the right womb corner, weighing in at a whopping 4lbs 14.7oz.....EMMALINE ROOOOOOOOSE!! This weight difference is the whole reason they decided to join us so early.

Emmaline got to come home with us when I was discharged 4 days after they were taken through the C-section of my belly. Emerae spent almost 2 weeks in the NICU trying to get her body temp in check, and joined us at home almost a week ago. They are both amazingly awesome!! Eating like crazy now, upping their feeding sizes every other day!

As of their two week check-up Emerae was up to 4lb 6oz, and Emmaline was weighing in at 5lb 0.5oz. The doctor said they look great! They had to get their heels pricked, and it was heartbreaking.

They're 3 weeks old on Wednesday and we can't believe how quickly time has flown already. They have their one month appointment in about 2 weeks.

I know you all are clammering for pictures for pictures of our Peanut and Sweet Pea, well.......you should already have pictures....BUT if you don't already through the bookface or the twitters, here is a link to our amazing album!!

enjoy the incredible cuteness that is our babies....
BABY LINK YOU!!!!!!!!!!Young Grubershttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12334739730880295203noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2266019822812670488.post-7162320813836324562011-04-26T07:54:00.000-07:002011-04-26T15:22:27.072-07:00Almost 33 weeks down... Well we're at 32 weeks and 4 days, almost 33 weeks down...yes!!!! We had a doctors appointment yesterday, and another ultrasound today. Not a whole lot to report from the doctors yesterday, I'm measuring at 38 weeks...ugh, and I'm feeling it, let me tell you lol. Now I go back in two weeks, and thats when she'll start checking my cervix (exciting right?! hah.) Today, at the ultrasound, as usual we get more fun news. Emerae (Baby A, the soon to be first born) weighs a small 3 lbs. 12 oz., and Emmaline (Baby B, soon to be second born) is a BIG girl at 4 lbs. 11 oz. There's almost a pound between them now, about 16%-17% difference, which is still within an acceptable range (as long as they're within 20% of each other). They were also both "practice breathing" which is obviously a great thing to see! On Emmaline's head we saw hair again!! No news on Emerae's head, she might be a baldy like I was when I was younger :) We got a profile shot, and 3D ok picture of Emerae's face, none of Emmaline, I'll have to have Tim put them up here later. More news in a week, which is what I'll be doing every week now. Yes, Ultrasound place every week to keep track of their fluid levels, movement, and doing stress tests and whatnot. So that equals more updates for you all!! haha well, until next Tuesday....hope you all had a wonderful Easter <3Young Grubershttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12334739730880295203noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2266019822812670488.post-70446962273361752522011-04-15T04:53:00.000-07:002011-04-15T04:53:48.697-07:00The Quick Date... So quick update for you all...We are possibly only 4 weeks away from meeting our girls!! That's the soonest we want them coming anyways. So 4-7 being the max!! I'm shooting for 5, I'll be 36 and everything with the girls would be good, because I'm sooo ready not to be pregnant anymore!! I just want to meet them too!! Only time will tell though. We have a doctors appointment a week from Monday, and then we have our Ultrasound the next day on Tuesday. Then, finally, we'll be starting every week appointments or every other week, I'm not sure what she said. Should be awesome though! Until then folks!!Young Grubershttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12334739730880295203noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2266019822812670488.post-89190222380219384732011-03-29T08:26:00.000-07:002011-03-29T08:26:07.793-07:00Our Big Girlies! So we had an Ultrasound and a doctors appointment today! We got to see our girls, unfortunately you all cannot, because they are too smooshed to get a good pictures now!! We got to see them though so I'm happy :D (sorry everyone else hah) We're super pumped too because at least one of them has HAIR on her head!! yay! Both girls are doing good on the weight track as well. One of them weigh 2 lbs. 11 oz. & the other girlie weighs 2 lbs. 7 oz. yes they are still different in weight, but they're within normal difference. The doctor said as long as they're within 20% of each other (my dad figured out about 10 oz.) then we're good. I think my OB was very happy with how much the girls weighed. As if she was slightly surprised how much they weighed lol. My tummy is also measuring at 31 weeks and I'm 28 weeks 4 days at the moment. So we go again in 4 weeks for both places, and then after that we start going every week or every other week, can't remember, OFTEN that's all i know! and then our girls will be here a few weeks after that!! ahhh anywhere between 3-6 weeks :)

we'll keep you updated sometime before then!

Love you all!! <3Young Grubershttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12334739730880295203noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2266019822812670488.post-83994265870207297672011-03-23T19:24:00.001-07:002011-03-23T19:24:48.698-07:00Little Dancers, Soccer Players?!the girls have been super active lately!! I spend a good portion of my day just sitting there watching my stomach move around. It's pretty sweet, at times pretty uncomfortable especially when they just PUSH!! like it's no ones business, just really uncomfortable, still sweet though. An amazing thing that happened tonight, tim was talking to them because they were movin' and groovin' around and had his nose against my tummy & one of the girls kicked it. It was so great. We're really excited though, because we have a doctors appt. and ultrasound on tuesday. So this coming up Tuesday we'll have new updates and pictures on how the girls are doing :)

Until then!!

This morning we went in ULTRA EARLY to the ULTRAsound place for our monthly appointment! Both the girls weigh in close, but not identically. One weighs 1lb.10oz, while the other is 1lb.12oz. The doctor said that this was within a normal difference in weight. We will be going back in three weeks, March 29th, which is the same day as our next regular Baby Doctor appointment.

Emerae and Emmaline were very cooperative today for the entire ultrasound... right up until the part where it was picture time... We still got to see each of their beautiful faces in 3D, but our one little bundles was trying to hide her face right next to a womb wall. Big Mistake! 3D ultrasounds SEE THROUGH those things! The pictures came out great. the one that looks like she has a crunched nose is the one who was hiding. Her nose is fine, but the picture looks a little muddied.

Take a look below at our beautiful little baby girls!
We've got two little girls in the oven!! :) We're so excited to just be able to say it now. :) We also have names which are, Emerae Lane Gruber (pronounced like Emery), and Emmaline Rose Gruber. We love our little girls so much already and we can't wait for them to get here!!

Last weekend was my baby shower in Pittsburgh, and it was just wonderful. There was so many people there celebrating with us and excited for their arrival. Tim couldn't make it, unfortunately, because this was the one weekend he had to work. The servers where getting updated at church, but he rocked it and survived almost an entire week without me!! yay!!!!

What made it even more special than the party was already, was the fact that all of my sister-in-laws came from all over, and my father and mother in-law came. It was just so awesome and special to get to see all of them, and that they came for the shower. I also got to see all of my nephews and nieces, I love them all so much!! They're awesome!

We're 24 weeks tomorrow, the awesome things going on with our girls this week?! Their lungs are developing the "branches" in the lungs, and other lungy things!! So incredible. We have our next doctors appointment on Tuesday, and the next Ultrasound on March 8th a week later...until then!!Young Grubershttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12334739730880295203noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2266019822812670488.post-45228679239853268252011-02-08T17:43:00.000-08:002011-02-08T17:43:22.745-08:00Anatomy Scan Numero Dos!!Today we are now 21 weeks 4 days into babies magic :) We had our second Anatomy ultrasound today. It was even better than the last one. We could see all the chambers of their hearts, and just everything. Also, their sexes were confirmed today, which we'll be able to share in about two weeks....patience people ;)

The babies are growing fabulously though. So much so that I have no more room, it's only outward growth, we got to see my own gallbladder and liver, which were locate up in or by the ribs now, right above the babies. lol, both babies weigh 14 oz., so almost a pound EACH!! almost two pounds of baby at this point, yikes!! We have some awesome pictures for you all to see, we left out the pictures that show their secret area....hehehehe ENJOY THE PICTURES!!!!

Oh, also, if I don't give birth by 38 weeks, they will make them come lol. So, even though they probably won't the babies will for sure be born by June 3, 2011 now...hurray!!

So we may blog to our hearts content!!!!!!Heyyy Evurbudaaayy!!!!!

Tim & Brit here bringing you a joint post!! So what have we been up to you might ask?! We MOVED! We are almost on to 3 weeks of living in Maryland! The babies are stupendous, and whirling and churning inside my belly.

We go and see our new OB on Friday, so that'll be exciting. The awesome thing is that she is a solo physician, which I (brit) am super pumped about. The reason being?! I'll only be seeing ONE doctor instead of a different doctor every time I go. I like the idea of that better. She tries to deliver every baby, so she only takes on so many woman at a time. So Friday 1015am baby hour!

We haven't...our pictures....blah blah blah....

WE HAVE NEW PICTURES!! (they're actually pictures we've had for several weeks now, sorry interwebs) They're from our anatomy ultrasound which we had several weeks ago, so they're old, but new for you all!! It was the coolest thing EVER!! They pointed out their bladders, and bones, and WE GOT TO HEAR THEIR HEARTBEATS FOR THE FIRST TIME!! Amazing!!
I've had some back problems recently, had a minor trip to the ER, no biggie, just awful back pain. Turns out it's just muscular skeletal. So my back that wasn't super before pregnancy isn't enjoying the added weight in my tummy region too much. Sad thing, I don't even had a humungous belly!! At least thats what people keep telling me :) See for yourself! Recent belly picture from a couple days ago, and the New/Old pictures of our babies! We'll have brand new ones for you, like we said, on Friday!
Just like every other time it was so amazing to see how much they've transformed in just a month :) They are now too big to both fit on one ultrasound (which doesn't help me very much in making them the background photo on my phone!! lol) They look, as always, thank you Jesus, PERFECT! The doctor said they have long legs (as to which they turned to Tim and said "wonder were they got that from.") They are still our Bitty G's but it's easier to call them L and R, or the Left and Right baby because that's how they are positioned, instead of one on top of the other. Poor Bitty Baby L was getting kicked in the head by Bitty Baby R. It was funny, but I still felt bad. I also weigh more now than I ever have in my entire life....ugghh!! all worth it though :) Seeing the Bitty G's makes it ok. So hopefully we'll find out what the Bitty G's sex's are on this coming up Tuesday, we have our anatomy scans on tuesday. They have way better machines at the place we're going, and will be able to tell what they are easier there. Although, the lady said after she was wiping the goop off of my tummy that she probably could've told me what sex each of them were... she just didn't look!!!!!! COME ON NOW!! You're not going to ask a person if they want to try and see?
Tim here. So we haven't had a lot to report lately on baby stuff. Other than the size of the babies, and subsequently Brit's baby bump, not a lot has changed. Over our visit to Pittsburgh, Brittany started feeling the babies bubbling away in her tomach! Tomach bubblies are what she is feeling while the babies kick and swim and move around in there. That's been pretty exciting for her for sure!

More to come on tuesday and probably some PICS too because thats our next appointment! SO STOKED!

PEACE,
It was the greatest thing to be able to see their hearts beating again, and to actually see them moving. They actually look like babies as well, with arms and legs!! The doctor said they looked perfect, which is always a wonderful thing to hear. :) My mom was able to come with us, and she was just as excited as we were to see them. It was so funny, because Bitty Baby A was dancing around whenever we were watching. Then Bitty Baby B was trying to dodge all the pictures every time the doctor went to take a picture. It's so great and cool to see that each of them already has their own personality! Enjoy the picture of our babies!! We love them bunches already!

Tim here.
Info news, baby bump news, and food news today!

We've been feeling like we needed to update y'all. On monday, we go to visit Brit's "At Risk" nurse lady so she can tell us all the different things that go down with having multiples and how that's different with just having one baby. We're pumped, although I don't want to get super bored-ified. It'll be at least an hour long, with LOTS-o-info to ingest! I'll probably be fine.

In other Babies G news, the "pooch" has arrived. Brit is clearly showing a cute little baby bump. While Brit's parents were here visiting on friday, we went to the mall and hung out. This all spurred on Brittany and Mom to go into this maternity store for what seemed like FOREVER! She sighed a huge sigh of relief while sitting around the house last night and today with some new prego-apparel on. I heard something about her expanding baby bump feeling fine and fancy free.

Cravings are kicking in a little more this last week. It has been nothing too crazy! I've been stoked because on several occasions Brit has requested food I like a lot! No.1 Chinese, Panera Bread, Olive Garden, and many more have been on the craving ballot. Let me tell you, I'm sure it's been so much easier, so far, when we've been voting for the same parties and candidates.

Almost Bedtime, for Brit anyway, so I'll catch you on the flip-side!

Peace,
Basically we found out....TWWWWINNNSS!!!!!! I think that's self explanatory... Also, we are due on June 22! As you know with twins though, we will have them a couple weeks before that...(please dear Jesus help me to have them before that) haha We are so very excited! It was a huge shock! Totally makes sense though, because I was already starting to get a baby bump, and I'm only 2 months along. So it makes me feel better that I'm caring two times the babies, and not just getting FAT. lol I know I haven't been able to stop smiling since we found out and we also got an ultrasound!! Here's Bitty Babies G for the first time for you all to see!! Say hello to bitty baby G a and bitty baby G b :)
I woke up yesterday morning, on my day off, and thought I had "morning sickness" as usual. A little more intense than, but I didn't think anything of it. So very wrong! 11am came and past which is when it all usually ends, and it didn't end, it just got worse. Grossness came (that's all I'll say) and I ended up having to go get anti nausea meds and fluids. Tim thought I was getting too much attention, so when we were at the premiere medical place getting my fluids he decided to get in on the action, and threw up in the bathroom there. Haha oh my goodness. So we were in separate room, both hooked up to IV's. Then when we got home, Tims dad came home early from school, and he had the same thing, and mom wasn't feeling so hot either. Now we are all home sick from work (minus tim hah.) family sick-in!!!!

Just keep us all in your prayers :)Young Grubershttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12334739730880295203noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2266019822812670488.post-75405161508594738132010-11-02T10:18:00.000-07:002010-11-02T10:18:51.670-07:00More Sick-ing More-ning Sick-ing-nessTim Here!

Brit's having a rough day with morning sickness. She threw up, then ate more macaroni, then finally threw up again. YUM! It's her day off, and she's been sick all day so far. (I almost posted a pick of macaroni here... haha)

This to shall pass! It may be 4 more weeks of the first trimester, so we're hoping that will be the end of it. We are SO looking forward to having more concrete stuff from the Doctor/Midwife/WhateverYouCallThem!

Thanks again for your prayers! If you feel the need to encourage her, give her a text or call, I'm sure she'd enjoy that. (don't tell Brit I said anything though *wink*)

Also, starting two days ago, the morning sickness has set in. It's also actually in the morning too, so imagine me, at Starbucks, feeling sick, trying to pretend not to be, and keeping on going.

It's not as bad as it could be though. There's only a nausea feeling though, nothing actually coming out (thank goodness!) I will survive, and get through hopefully only a few weeks of this feeling in the mornings.

Since we don't know the sex, or even exactly how far along, we figured a nickname was best. We're rolling with it and it seems to be popular with the family.
Speaking of 'along', we're freaking out and stoked and we can't wait for the doctor's visit!

We saw a bunch of pretty gender-neutral and all natural baby clothes on major clearance at target and almost bought stuff... also contemplated clearance diaper stockpiling.. We'll see, I guess.

Anywho, that's all for now.

Peace
The final persons to tell for the next 2 weeks until our baby doctor appointment. It was awesome, and so very funny, thanks once again to a little girl named Elanor Gruber. Caleb at once was excited as was Ellie, then when everyone else was talking she turns to me and says, "If it's a girl (she's thinking about this very hard) she can be my sister." I proceed to tell her that they couldn't be real sister, but maybe like sisters or best friends, which she was ok with. She continues this think and then says, "We could name her...(pause) ILoveJesus." haha so sweet and awesome. I'm sorry though Ellie, even though you can't read this Uncle Tim and Aunt Brittany won't be naming your cousin that. After that both Caleb and Ellie proceeded to hold hands and spin in a circle yelling "yay yay yay." I am so tired and exhausted after staying up late last night, still waking up early this morning (not on purpose) and spending an awesome day with my parents. Good night everyone :)
It's so nuts to think my wife is at least 6 weeks along, MAYBE MORE. We can't wait to find out way more in a few weeks at the Doctors'.
We told our parents and siblings over the last few days, and everyone was so pumped! It was nice to finally have other people to talk to about it all.

My dad gave us this today, it was just a fun (and tasty) gift.
We'll know for sure on November 8 when we have our first doctors appointment. Here's a little video we found today, that shows what stages Bitty Baby Gruber is in...enjoy!! Video Link
We just found out yesterday October 16, 2010 that we are having a baby :) It's so exciting and scary, but a good scary, a great scary! The only stinky part, we aren't telling anyone yet! Oh my goodness, I just want to be able to tell our family and friends, yet we made the decision to wait until we go to the doctors before we tell everyone. (sorry to family members who are reading this at a later time.) We decided today to keep a blog about my experiences being pregnant, and Tim's job of dealing with me while I'm pregnant :) As of this point, we're not sure how far along we are, but tomorrow I'll call the Doctors and set up an appointment, and hopefully we'll find out soon!

Anything weird with pregnancy I've experienced yet?! A newfound love of MUSTARD!! never liked it before, LOVE it now...

until a later time,
Brittany and probably her poppyseed :)Young Grubershttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12334739730880295203noreply@blogger.com1
